Accreditation

How we meet the standards

We help businesses to create food products to an exact standard for the market to enjoy or to reach more customers through allergen needs, organic qualities, and religious beliefs that require expert knowledge, deep care, and tight compliance logistics.

Janbak is certified with the Safe Quality Food (SQF) program, Australian Certified Organic (ACO), Kosher Australia, and Halal Certification Authority.

What these accreditations mean to different customers varies. For example, while some customers practice religious dietary doctrines of kosher or halal know to check for the relevant certification logos before buying or consuming those products, some customers perceive [KL1] these accreditations to be bonuses in terms of food quality and food handling care. Some customers look for the certified organic logo from the perspective of health benefits. These range from ingredients/products not being genetically modified (non-GMO) to the growing conditions being without synthetic or human-made fertilisers and pesticides being used. So, while the product is healthier from a chemical-free standpoint, the certified organic accreditation also fosters a more sustainable environmental and agricultural system. Certainly, there’s customers who buy certified organic to support a healthier planet.

Regardless of customers’ motivations and understanding of different food certifications, at the most basic level, every customer expects global food safety standards. The Safe Quality Food (SQF) program is a global food safety initiative that benchmarks food safety standard based on the Hazard Analysis Critical Controls Points (HACCP). The HACCP system maps out each step in the food production process to minimise containment and control the risks.

A global program that identifies and controls the risks associated with food safety.

Organic products are free from human-made fertilisers, pesticides, growth regulators, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

Kosher complies with Jewish dietary doctrine (kashrut).

Products and services comply with Islamic dietary doctrine for what is permissible (halal) and what is forbidden (haram) for Muslims to consume and use.
